Eat Well Mcr was set up in 2020 during the Pandemic to provide chef made meals to people sidelined by poverty across Greater Manchester.
In 2022 they were looking to progress their visual brand to reach more people and gain more support from businesses. With a greater focus on the joyful and generous nature of what they do, I created a brand that centred around the idea of ‘for the love of people and food’. Using a vibrant colour palette (- building on the recognisable orange that existed in their palette) and developing a suite of illustrative ‘garnishes’ we were able to better connect to the high quality nature of the food they provide and restaurants they partner with. An important aspect of the brand palette was the photography that was captured by Jane Walton which gives an authentic, characterful and honest behind the scenes view into kitchen.
Eat Wel Mcr support people in the community, from families living in temporary accommodation, women taking refuge in sheltered accommodation, food-banks looking after families and single parents in dire straits, to schools whose families are experiencing food poverty and inequality. The chef made meals go beyond satiating hunger, providing a moment of genuine respite and relief in difficult times.
